Dear Neighbors,

My name is Rick Guerrero and I am running to be your next City Councilman for the City of Pasadena in District C.  As a resident of Pasadena, I am committed to work with fellow Councilmen and Councilwomen to improve the quality of life in our district and the City of Pasadena.  I will promote Pasadena as a city where our families can live, play, and raise our children in a safe environment and give them the opportunity to have a quality life.

Our city has always focused its attention on the quality of life for local residents, preserving the elements which tell the story of our rich history.  Honoring that history, our city still holds the annual Strawberry Festival and today Strawberry Road stretches through much of the city near where the old strawberry crops grew.  We have a reason to be proud of our history, our great schools, colleges and our petrochemical industries.  We cannot be complacent and be satisfied with what we have done in the past, but always strive to better our situations.  I will bring new energy to city council and work with our Mayor to continue to move Pasadena forward.

Our Volunteer Fire Department, the largest volunteer fire department in the United States, and our Police Department play a vital role in the safety of our citizens and our community.  One of my priorities is to meet with them and ask how I can help in making their departments more effective and efficient.  Pasadena is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and one of the safest places to live and we need to keep it that way.
